Greetings
Fellow Facilitators!
Status
on our first Facilitator's Guide on Full Participation.
We
just launched our first guide yesterday and have been receiving
an enthusiastic response. Thanks to all of you who helped
on this!
Seeking
input for next guide.
Our next guide will be, "Intervene
with Confidence." This guide will explore the skill of
group intervention and provide a number
of useful and practical strategies to make this easier for
facilitators.
To refresh your memory, the Facilitator
Guides will be rich sources of information and practical advice
and startegies that can be applied to special situations that
facilitators encounter in their day-to-day work. For example,
future guides will involve, building trust, building team,
starting and ending groups, handling conflict, virtual facilitation,
etc...
Please
help us with our next guide by answering the following questions.
Those of you who contribute material that we end up using
in the guide, will receive a free copy of the finished guide.
Here's what we need to know:
-
How do you define "Intervention" in groups?
-
When is it appropriate to intervene?
- When is it not appropriate?
- What are some guidelines or strategies you use to intervene?
- Do you have any simple models or "rules of thumb"
you use to help you decide when and how to intervene?
- Do you have any favorite language you use to initiate interventions?
- Do you have any stories or examples to share on this subject?
Thanks very much for your support!
Warmest regards,
Steve
